Monday Update

You are currently in Week 7

From APA -

What changes are occurring with your body?
Changes within your body are gradually continuing. It is not likely that the people around you can even tell that you are pregnant. You may have gained a couple of pounds, but you also may have actually lost weight if you are experiencing morning sickness at this point. Losing weight this early is not uncommon, and in a few weeks things will begin to shift in the other direction. You may also be experiencing other early pregnancy symptoms.

- According to Albert.sons scale I have gained two lbs., I'm not sick but I feel blah and the only thing I really feel like eating is fruit, but I guess if you eat anything in large quantities you are bound to gain weight.

What is happening with your baby?
At this point every essential organ has begun to form in the embryo's tiny body. The hair and nipple follicles are forming, and the eyelids and tongue have begun formation. The elbows and toes are more visible as the trunk begins to straighten out

How big is your baby?
Your baby is approximately ¾ of an inch long by the end of this week and weighs less than an aspirin.

From WebMD -

Your baby makes great strides this week, reaching almost half an inch from crown to rump -- about the size of a small raspberry! The heart and lungs are becoming more developed, as are the eyes and nose, intestines and appendix. By now the brain and spinal cord are growing from the neural tube. Hands and feet are beginning to form, and those adorably tiny fingers and toes are getting ready to make an appearance.

Since I was too lazy to do a 6 week post on Saturday I'll just do it here.

We have told pretty much everyone we know (except work people). I said I didn't want to say anything till we got to 13 weeks but that's no fun. The one person that doesn't know is my dad. We drove past his house Saturday on the way home from dropping the rent off but it turned out he was at our house picking Paul up so we missed each other.

I have my first dr appointment this Thursday 8/07/08, but from what the nurse said they will just be giving me a pregnancy test (I think I am going to try and get them to do a blood test); once the results are in they will start the referral process and once I have approval and am assigned to a birthing center I will make my first real appointment.
