18 Weeks and Monday Update

We should be completely done moving out by Tuesday night. Pablo spent all day Saturday moving the last odds and ends out while my mom and I did a deep clean. We have to go back tonight and get what’s left in the fridge and clean it out and I need to clean the stove, kitchen counter tops, sink, vacuum the closets, and Tuesday I am going to oil the floors one last time and Pablo will get what’s left of his office. Listing everything made it seems like a lot more than what it was in my head.

Next weekend will be dedicated to organizing the new place and figuring out what all we need.

We went to assembly on Sunday, it was fun. I found out one of the girls I was close to as a teenage is having a baby the middle of February, I cannot get over that I am pregnant at the same time as my closest friends and none of us talked about it before hand, just a crazy coincidence.

I took a new pic Sunday morning, I look a lot bigger than I did 2 weeks ago, but I was freezing 2 weeks ago and I think my posture made for a deceiving picture.

18 Weeks (133)

You are currently in Week 19

From APA -

What changes are occurring with your body?
Round ligament pain is most common during the second trimester. Women begin complaining of a sharp pain in their abdomen or hip area that is either on one side or both. Some women even report pain that extends into the groin area. Round ligament pain is considered a normal part of pregnancy as your body goes through many different changes.

How big is your baby?
Your baby has grown so much during these 19 weeks but is only 7 ½ inches long and weighs about 7 ounces. Don’t worry, he/she still has a lot of growing left to do.

What is happening with your baby?
While your baby is continuing to grow, the development that is occurring is very specific. For example, the kidneys are making urine, and hair is beginning to sprout on his/her scalp. The parts of the brain that are responsible for the senses are specializing. If you are having a baby girl, she already has 6 million eggs formed in her ovaries.

The baby's skin is developing and is transparent, appearing red because of the visible blood vessels. A creamy white protective coating, called vernix, is also developing. As your baby continues to grow, you may be feeling some mid-pregnancy aches and pains -- lower abdominal achiness, dizziness, heartburn, constipation, leg cramps, mild swelling of ankles and feet, and a backache are all normal. Dilated blood vessels might cause tiny, temporary red marks (called spider nevi) on your face, shoulders and arms.
