Dr. Appointment Highlights

So far so good.

They scared the bajesus out of me because when I walked in a nurse handed me a consent form to fill out for a screening test that I declined and being the optimistic person that I am I thought they were having me do the test because the ultrasound showed something abnormal. As it turns out they just don’t read their patients charts.

We were not too impressed by the dr we saw. She didn’t seem very personable. But it is possible that we just aren’t personal. She said my blood pressure and weight gain were good and she was able to find the baby’s heart beat right away. She didn’t give me the bpm and I didn’t ask, but I wish I had. I was hoping to get the referral for the ultrasound but she said I won’t get that till after my next visit and we would get a call about a week later and they would set up the appointment. That means I probably won’t even get to make the appointment till the beginning of November, and it’s pretty much going to be forever until we actually have it done.

I noticed the paperwork for the screening showed my last ultrasound was done at 10 weeks 4 days, what we thought I was according to my last period, and it showed I would be 20 weeks on 11/8, again what I would be according to my last period. So next time I need to ask exactly what they have as my expected due date. If they didn’t move my due date up because of the 12 week 2 day measurement the dr gave me after the ultrasound than I think some of my appointments need to be rescheduled because they have my last one scheduled for 3/18 and the nurse said she was making that one just in case I hadn’t delivered by then. Although it would be nice to deliver early rather than late I don’t really think it’s reasonable to assume I will go 10 days early.
