30 Weeks

This past week people starting coming up to me and saying “any day now right”. People reaction when I tell them when I’m due is funny, some say “you still have quite a ways to go” and others say it’s not too much longer. While I’m not quite at the “any day now point” I don’t think 10 weeks or 9 weeks and 5 days is very long at all. This whole thing is actually going by a lot faster than I thought it would.

Despite being huge (see pic below) I am for the most part still really comfortable. I don’t care too much for the heart burn, but eating apples makes it at least tolerable, I can breath good enough, I’m used to having to get up and pee at night, after my alarm goes off the first time in the morning she starts moving like crazy and kicking the bed which makes it hard to go back to sleep, but I really shouldn’t be snoozing anyway so that’s not really a negative.

I have a feeling that since I am OK with being pregnant and not in a huge hurry to “get it over with” she is only going to give me about 7 more weeks to prepare.
(Didn't weigh myself this week, and not too interested in doing so)

Monday Updates
You are currently in Week 31
(30 weeks and 1 days)

From APA-

What changes are occurring with your body?
You may have noticed a yellowish or creamy substance that has begun to leak from your breasts. This substance is called colostrum or pre-milk.
Colostrum is the first stage of breast milk that occurs during pregnancy and lasts for several days after the birth of the baby. It is much thicker than the milk that is produced later in breastfeeding.
Not all women leak colostrum, but either way, this is considered normal. You may notice that the leaking only occurs at certain times of the day. If you experience leaking during the day, you may want to invest in some nursing pads that can be placed in your bra to absorb the colostrum.
Many women begin to experience
Braxton Hicks contractions during the last several weeks of pregnancy. Braxton Hicks contractions can begin as early as the second trimester; however, they are most common in the third trimester. The muscles of your uterus tighten for approximately 30 to 60 seconds or as long as 2 minutes. Braxton Hicks are also called "practice contractions" because they will prepare you for the real thing, and you can practice the breathing exercises you are learning in your childbirth classes.

How big is your baby?
Your baby is continuing to grow and has grown to over 15 ½inches in length and weighs anywhere from 3 ½ to 4 pounds.

What is happening with your baby?
Your baby is continuing to develop a layer of fat under her skin. This is in preparation for her arrival into the world and gives the baby more of a newborn appearance. During the next several weeks your baby will really begin to put on the weight. Remember the average size of a newborn is about 7 ½ pounds and 19 to 21 inches long.

From WebMD

Rather than hearing vibrations, her ears have matured enough so that she can hear distinct sounds, like familiar voices and music. Your uterus now fills a large part of your abdomen, and you've probably gained between 21 and 27 pounds. You're probably feeling increasing excitement and anxiousness about the birth -- it won't be long now.

I think because you are so tiny people think that you should be having Keelin any day now. I hope that you can finish the pregancy feeling as good as you do now. I can't wait to see her and play with her. It will be interesting to see if she keeps up the same schedual as she is on now. I think you kids did after I had you. It still is so amazing to me that you are going to be a mother in just a little while. I know you will both be good parents. You have so much love to give.
