32 Weeks

I have exactly 1 month left of work. I think that would be a lot more exciting if I had finished everything I needed to last month and all’s I had to do for the next 4 weeks was clean up lose ends and answer questions from people that will be covering for me. Having a lot to do will make this month go by fast which is good? I think

Friday a friend threw a small shower for me, it was so nice, and I got tons more cute clothes. I was able to take 1 picture and then my camera died. Other people took pictures so hopefully I can get some sent to me and once I am able to get pictures from the last shower I will post them all.

I weighed myself Saturday and had not gained any weight since my last appointment, and Sunday I was down 1 lb so I am interested to see what happens tomorrow at my appointment. I wasn’t trying to lose weight; I just stopped having my nightly bowl of ice cream in hopes of not gaining another 4 lbs.

Although dr’s and pregnancy books say the best position to sleep in is lying on your left side, this baby strongly disagrees. Since she is on my right side I would think she would prefer it but she goes crazy if I lay that way, as soon as I turn onto my right side she stops and we are able to sleep.

32 Weeks (A lot)

“Monday’s Updates”

You are currently in Week 33
(32 weeks and 1 days)

From APA-

What changes are occurring with your body?
The top of your uterus is a little over 5 inches from your belly button. Your total weight gain should be between 22 and 28 pounds.
You may wonder if you will be able to tell when your water breaks (also called rupturing of the membranes).
The follow paragraph contained graphic information about what to look for and what not to do if your water breaks, I decided to spare any readers of the details.

How big is your baby?
Your baby is approximately 16 ½ inches long and weighs between 4 ½ to 5 pounds. Because growth can be so different for each baby during this time, your baby may be a little off from these measurements which in most cases is totally normal.

What is happening with your baby?
Your baby’s skin is beginning to look less red and less wrinkled. Fat stores are continuing to be deposited under her skin. Her bones are all beginning to harden except for the skull. The skull needs to remain soft and pliable for delivery.

From WebMD –

In the next few weeks, your baby will be growing rapidly. She will gain more than half her birth weight in the next seven weeks. Baby begins to move less now as she runs out of room and curls up with knees bent, chin resting on chest and arms and legs crossed. Of the pound a week you're gaining now, roughly half is going to your baby.

Ahhhh how sweet she already knows what she likes. You liked sleeping or me sleeping and laying in a certain way. In fact all you guys had a opionion about how I would lay. When she is born you will see it for yourself it seems that you guys would still lay that way out of the womb it is really neat to see that transition.

I would not worry abou weight at this stage of the game even the outlook of the baby says that she will gain half her birth at this stage. You are looking really good and not fat at all you are all baby.

How exciting that you only have one month to go at work! It should go by fast and probably it's a good thing that you have lots to do.

You sure don't look fat at all Lisa! I bet you'll be able to fit into your pre-pregnancy clothes in no time at all after Keelin's born.

I can't wait to see all the shower pictures. Both showers were lots of fun but I especially liked the second one because I got to wear that neat feather boa. Ha ha Not really they were equally nice. You are so blessed to have so many sisters that love you and planned the showers for you. It is going to be so much fun being Keelin's grandma. Keelin will be the best dressed little girl in the hall.
