Can I do this too?

The letter below is found on our state Franchise Tax Board web site

Your return has been received and processed, however, your refund cannot be issued at this time.Due to the state’s persistent cash and budget problems, the State Controller has directed FTB to stop sending refund requests to the State Controller’s Office for payment. Refund payments will resume when the State Controller indicates there is enough cash available to make refund payments.

How about

Dear (insert government agency)

Your return (bill/fine/citation) has been received and processed, however, your refund monies cannot be issued at this time.

Due to the state’s personal persistent cash and budget problems, the State Controller head of the house has directed FTB his helper to stop sending refund collection requests to the State Controller’s Office (agency listed above) for payment. Refund Debit payments will resume when the State Controller head of the house indicates there is enough cash available to make refund payments.

I love your letter. I was talking to it this morning with a member and she said that is exatly what she plans on doing with her property tax bill. So you are not alone. ha ha I was talking to Diana this morning and she said Costco's cakes are really good. So I am going to check them out today on my way home from work.
