Keelin wants to sleep
That’s the game I play all day.
She is routine in that she wakes up, eats, plays, and than sleeps, all on a pretty consistent 2.5 hour schedule, sometimes it stretches to 3 (that makes for 4 - 5 naps a day, and bedtime). It’s easy to tell why she is complaining but when it’s time to sleep what is going to get her down is a mystery. The books all say be consistent, but they have obviously not meet my child and after 20 minuets of doing what worked the last several days, and knowing she is going to want to eat in about in hour I can’t help buy try something else. She almost always goes down with me patting her and doing that stupid freaking shhhhsing noise, but here is a list of positions we go though
upright in the burping position
cradled to the left
cradled to the right
upright burying her face in my clothes
stretched out in front of me
upright sucking on my arm (I’m not actually ok with this one)
pacifier
no pacifier
swaddled
un-swaddled
being laid down in whatever it is she is going to sleep in (this is the one that really gets me, but if I try it and it’s not want she wants, she gets a little pissed)
She squirms and complains until suddenly she is however it is she wants to be and than she instantly knocks out. Sometimes I get it right on the first try, other times I go though the whole stinkin list before she is happy.
Oh and when she wakes up she does not appreciate me trying to get a good picture of her for my latest posting.

It sounds like a dance or a song. The song could be titled Mother hood. If you find out the secert I am sure you could make millons selling or bottleing the answer. I just love her so much she is fantastic little girl. I say whatever works for the moment is the answer to the day.
