Updates

I guess I don’t so much do weekly and Monday updates, they are more whenever I finally get around to it updates.

We went to Brad.ley class #4 Sunday. We learned all about drugs, what the differences are, the pros and cons, the safest way to use them if we chose to do so. All good stuff.

Monday night I noticed she looked a little high and all day Tuesday I felt more and more uncomfortable as she moved up into my ribs and by Tuesday night I actually felt short of breath. I think she decided to move down some during the night because I feel much better this morning.

I don’t think I am using my “support” pillow correctly because both sides of my butt feel sore and kind of asleep when I wake up in the morning. Everything returns to normal pretty quickly and it doesn’t keep me from sleeping so I guess it’s no big deal.

I started taking cal.mag for my middle of the night leg cramps and crazy legs, but I’m not sure if it is helping yet. I woke up last night with a nasty cramp but I think I need to give it more than 5 days.

She is starting to move more frequently but I can still only really feel it from the outside if I am laying on my back. Over the weekend I realized her rhythmic movement is the hiccups, which I find amusing.

Because I have been asked –
I have no stretch marks yet
My wedding ring still fits
I still have an innie, and anyone who suggests otherwise is a liar.

I made an appointment to have a 3/d ultrasound done 1/10; I’m pretty excited about that.

My copy of “The Baby Whisper” came in the mail last night, it was recommended by a Canadian so it must be good right?

Monday Updates

You are currently in Week 24

From APA

What changes are occurring with your body?
You can now feel the top of your uterus around 2 inches from your belly button. The skin on your abdomen and breasts are stretching, which can cause these areas to feel itchy. Many times the itchy skin can be caused by dry skin. If you are having itchy and/or dry skin, use a good moisturizer or lotion. Your eyes may also be sensitive and dry during your pregnancy. You can alleviate some of the discomfort by using artificial tears to keep your eyes moist.

How big is your baby?
Your baby is over 12 ½ inches long ( approximately 12.60 inches CHL) and weighs 1¼ to 1½ pounds.

What is happening with your baby?
Your baby's brain is growing rapidly at this time. Taste buds are also developing, and the lungs are becoming more developed and complex. The branches of the main lung are beginning to form as well as special cells that will produce surfactant. Surfactant is necessary for the air sacs to inflate easily. Babies who are born prematurely often have trouble breathing because these cells have not had enough time to develop or are not producing the necessary amounts of surfactant.

From WebMD

He is starting to produce white blood cells, an important component of blood that is responsible for combating disease and infection, and may respond to your touch or sounds. Expect to gain about a pound per week this month. (Gosh I hope not)
