I weighed Keelin and my scale said 18lbs I don’t think this is right; I need go to my friend Lara’s house and use her baby scale to see how much she really weighs.
Just like the months before I need to do her height still.
Keelin can scoot/ army crawls with some wicked speed. She gets up on all fours and rocks but so far hasn’t really done much crawling on all fours.
She wants to stand herself up. She uses Pablo to pull herself up if he is lying down, and can also pull herself up in her stroller and car seat but she has her whole body leaning on whatever it is she is using to get up. She has come up to the couch a couple of times and can pull herself to her knees but can’t seem to get to her feet yet.
She babbles lots of syllables ba, da, du, ma, pa, ya, but no actually words yet.
She also screams which we are trying to break her of. Over the last couple of weeks it seems she is really starting to understand no and will go from screaming with her mouth open to closed and quieter and quieter as we tell her no.
She loves electrical wires and our house plant; I spend most of my day moving her away from these things.
I’m still working on getting her to put herself to sleep. It happens sometimes but most of the time she complains for a couple of minuets and then starts to cry so I go pick her up and stand in front of her bed, as soon as I do she lays her head down on me and starts to knock out. I decided I have no problem helping her go to sleep as long as she is not fighting me, which she was when I tried to rock her to sleep. I always give her the opportunity to put herself to sleep and I know this is a skill she will master in time.
She is still not sleeping though the night. Most nights she wakes at least twice sometimes as many as four times. I feel like if she would just sit and eat both breast milk and solids during the day she would still be sleeping though the night but she is just too busy to nurse for a decent amount of time and isn’t a big fan of solids. I’m trying to just roll with it and remind myself that everybody eats solids eventually and she will start sleeping though the night again someday right?
I went into work on the 30th and this time I did not need to come home to nurse her. She took a little milk from a bottle and my mom and Pablo got her to eat lots of fruit. When I got home after being away form her for 10 hours she started to laugh and then almost cry. It was nice to be at work and make a little money but I missed her and seeing that she missed me too made me feel like we really are making the right decision for us having me be a stay at home mom. For a few days that followed she was pretty willing to eat solids but she got a cold and has been refusing. I hope once she is 100% well she will get back on board.
She got both her bottom teeth. It took 3 weeks for them to grow in which seems like a long time, at lest in comparison to how long the little boy I take care of took. Not that it’s a race but she is not a happy teether.
She met her Uncle Travis, Aunt Marci, and Cousins Madelyn and Emily. I was really happy this happened and I hope we are able to get together from time to time going forward.

She is growing so nicely and such a great kid. I want to see the Baum's too. I really miss not being able to be a grandma to Madelyn and Emily. I think everyone is missing out. Grandma Reif says I should just show up on their front poarch someday. But I am chicken and don't know how they would react.
