The day after my last post I got the rent receipt with no note or comment about getting the leak fixed, I was very disappointed. I decided waiting till the 20th was too long and I was going to ask Pablo to call someone Monday, either the management company or a private plumber.
Yesterday I woke up to the news that someone was on their way. Not only did they fix the leak but they put in a new faucet which is great because the old one sucked. The spouts were too close to the basin and I didn’t like having separate hot & cold, it made difficult to do anything with hot water without getting burnt. They also patched up the holes that were in the shower wall and started to patch the paint that was pealing; someone is supposed to be by soon to repaint the bathroom (I’m not holding my breath). The timing was perfect. We are having a wedding reception at our house this weekend and I’m glad that I will not be informed by 80 guests that we have a leaky faucet and the paint at least looks better than before. Also, I needed to make yesterday a major cleaning day and if the guy had shown up after I deep cleaned the bathroom I may have had a little canary.

Thank goodness! And did I read your blog correctly? Did you really say you are having 80 guests to your home for a wedding reception? Are you some kind of saint?
