Neglected

I am going to pretend like I have not horribly neglected my blog and do a post about what is happening now.

A week or so ago I decided to stop offering to nurse Keelin just to see exactly where we stand and plan out how to go about starting the weaning process next month; well it turns out she is not one to beg and since I don’t offer well she doesn’t ask. I nurse her when she first gets up in the morning to buy myself a few extra minuets in bed and some days she will ask in the evening before dinner but not consistently. The last 2 nights she nursed before bed but not to sleep and on top of that she did not even have me rock her to sleep. Night before last she flopped around like a fish till I got annoyed and laid her in her bed thinking she would cry for me and be normal when I picked her back up (this is typical at nap) but no she just laid down and went to sleep, tonight I put her in her bed before getting annoyed and she again laid down and went to sleep. Last weekend I was doing homework ( I’m back in school) and when she woke up at midnight I decided to try not to nurse her back to sleep, I patted her till she feel back to sleep, she has not woke up at midnight since. Perhaps if I have the sense to do the same at 2am she will stop waking up all together. 2 more weeks till she is a year and probably just a little beyond that till she is weaned.

Today she had a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch, and washed it down with a juice box, *sigh*, she is becoming such a little person.
