1 Year Old

She’s been a year for a whole month so I guess it’s time to do an update.

She reached her last mobile milestone (walking) the beginning of March and gave up crawling completely soon after, much sooner than I expected.

Either I’m really terrible at recognizing milestones or she’s really settle, because while she is saying words I can’t say when exactly she started and there has been several things she says just once.

I am mom and pablo is pa. I’ve noticed she always yells to us as if we are in a different room even if we are sitting right next to her.

She says dog and stout, the dogs name. I’ve heard her say duck and I think she says this and thank you. She moos and barks and makes all kinds of whooshing sound effects. She nods yes and shakes no appropriately almost 100% of the time or maybe it is 100% of the time but her response is not always what is going to happen.

She eats everything we eat and baby food just depending on her mood. She uses forks and spoons and straws and sippy cups.

She hates to be told no and is already displaying a temper which is SUPER fun.

She is independent and clingy all at the same time. If I’m trying to get something done she feels the need to be help, but if we are out and about or playing she will do it (whatever that is) herself thankyouverymuch

She is taking 2 naps a day each lasting between 1 ½ and 2 ½ hours which I love. She was waking at night randomly but not that I’ve stopped nursing her at night she usually just wakes once. I still do nurse her when she wakes up for the day around 7 but other than that she is weaned and I only have one bag of frozen milk left. At this point I’m not in a big hurry to stop that last feeding, if she hasn’t lost interest by 18 months I’ll probably starting bring her a cup of milk in the mornings.

She’s had 3 hair cuts and has been anything but cooperative. I also get little cooperation when putting her hair up or painting her nails, all the things I was promised I would get to do with a little girl. She likes lotion and is very helpful when getting dressed. She also likes credit card and paper dollars so I think there is a girly girly in there somewhere.

I am going to post pic but not tonight because I am tired and I am going to make an effort to post more regularly because I know there is lots I’d like to document but if I don’t do it right away I forget.
