Belly News
According to my other half my sleep was crappy last time around but I do not remember that, as a matter of fact I remember thinking that I slept great and it sucked for all those preggos who said they couldn’t sleep. Maybe it was one of his other wives that slept crappy during their pregnancy. In any case it takes me a long time to fall asleep and I always feel like I’m half awake, it’s lame. Also my tail bone hurts, I wonder if I complain enough about that I’ll be deemed incapable of working.
A friend of my recommended an OB so I will be calling to make an appointment tomorrow, they are not open Mondays. I hope he is as good as she says. I received a list showing the different California hospital’s c-section rates and they are terrible. The hospital I delivered Keelin at has a 32% c-section rate and that is good compared to the others near us. The one I will most likely deliver at has a 45% c-section rate. Really so half of the over 5,000 women that go there are unable to deliver their babies the way that woman were meant, unbelievable. You can buy do it yourself home birth kits online for $50.00 give or take, that option is looking mighty tempting.
Keelin News
She is super fun and I like her a whole lot but I will be happy when we get past the love of the word “no”. I was so happy when she was answering questions appropriately, now the only thing I get a yes for is when I ask if she wants to go downstairs or if she wants to eat and the yes usually follows a no, UGH. She used to wake up in the middle of the night, stir, complain, and go back to sleep, now she wakes up, stirs, repeats no, and goes back to sleep.
I think we found her a pedi finally. Back in April when we went for her 12 month check up with a new dr and we explained our plan for vaccines the dr expressed her opinion and when I said thank you but we're going to stick with our plan she got visibly mad and walked out. When I went to get the results for Keelin's CBC I was told we were no longer patients and I could not have the results. The new dr was recommended by her sitter and Pablo took Keelin for a visit on Friday and said the staff was awesome. They look vaccines as a personal choice and are ok with our plan. We signed a release for Keelin’s medical records so they should be getting the results for her last CBC and sometime this week we will be taking her to the lab for a new one, and in a few weeks we should have an idea of where she is as far as her iron levels. Keelin didn’t really have any of the classic anemic symptoms but since she has been on the iron she seems to sleep better and is less moody. Also, she grew almost 3 in in about 2 months, not sure if that was related or just a growth spurt that would have happened regardless. The dr gave us an RX for infant vitamins, hopefully that is all we have to give her going forward.
