One Month

Today Tierney is one month old. We have an appointment on the 1^st so I’ll post her height and weight sometime after that, it is clear that she is growing, I just don’t know how much.

This kid is a sleeper and I love it. Keelin slept great at night, starting 12 hr stretches at 5 weeks, but her naps were crap. In all fairness I think I made Keelin a crappy napper by going into the room every time she made a noise. Tierney grunts and complains on and off for the whole 1 ½ to 2 hrs she is napping, but it is rare for me not to have to go and wake her from her nap so she can eat. Most nights she wakes up twice, but she is pretty random with the time. Her first feeding can be as early as 1 or as late as 4 and the second is sometime between 4 and 6. A few nights ago she slept from 10 to 6 but I decided not to count that as her sleeping though the night. We had going down issues which is why she was up till almost 10 and 6 is still too early for me when it comes to waking up. Most mornings she sleeps till 8:30 and she might sleep even longer but I wake her to eat at that time.

She tolerates tummy time really well, sometimes I think she might even like it. On the 15^th I put her on her play mat and went to help Keelin with her mac and cheese (yup that is the kind of oh so healthy lunches my toddler eats) when I turned around Tierney was on her back. I didn’t see it happen and thought it was a fluke. Yesterday she rolled from tummy to back several times, Pablo said the way I was laying her was making it easy for her so I made sure to put her nice and flat and it took her a couple of minuets but she did it again.

She smiles and its not gas, I don’t know who these babies are that smile when they have gas but gas seems to piss my babies off. She does it when someone is talking to her and the first time she did it for me I had just woke her up and I could tell she was listening to me and than she smiled. She was hungry and not gassy but happy.

Also a couple days ago she was having trouble going down for a nap so I picked her up and was sitting with her and looked over and she was asleep but smiling and than she started to laugh, it was the cutest thing ever and I cannot wait for her to do it when she is awake and interacting with us.

Keelin loves her and I hope it says that way. She is always asking to hold her and always kissing and hugging her. She does poke her, she is into poking everyone and I don’t know what the deal is, but I don’t really like it. She also grabs her hands and tries to get her to dance, I have been telling her not to because it was going to hurt her and sure enough tonight she started to cry, but the look on Keelin’s face makes me hope she won’t do that anymore; she seemed really upset that she made her cry
