I had my 6 week check up today, at just 4 ½ weeks, pretty good eh. I don’t know what calendar the nurse was looking at when she scheduled me but I decided to just go with it. Everything is back in its proper place and I got the ok to do all the things I have been doing. I was told I could not lift anything heavier than the baby, I think that was just for the first 2 weeks but even that was pretty much impossible. I never realized how often I had to pick keelin up until I was told I should not.
Dr. A – So you delivered your baby in the parking lot.
Me – yeah
Dr A. – You should have listened to me shouldn’t you have
Me – yeah, (which was a lie but I was not going to get in to my feelings on induction with him)
Dr A – was it the hospital parking lot
Me – no we were on our way to the hospital
Dr A.-- but the baby is ok
Me – yeah, she is very healthy
Dr A.-- good. did you panic?
Me – Yeah
Dr A. – but everything turned out ok so its ok
Dr A. – have you deciding on what kind of birth control you want to use
Me – we’re just gonna wing it
The last part is not entirely true, but those details are unimportant. I would love to have a planned home birth next time, planned and home being the key words. If that does not work out I would go back to Dr A. I liked the dr’s I had with Keelin but this guy seemed a lot more flexible, and I expected him to give me a hard time about not making it to the hospital but the conversation was very light hatred. There is something about his style of doctoring that I really like, and I like the way the office was run.

I would have had a parking lot baby too if I wasn't already at the hospital when my water broke! Glad you are doing well, that must have been super freaky!
Not sure what you are planning as far as spacing but it is totally possible to get pregnant when nursing (trust me)!
